Our products are made with Osmo Hard Wax Oil, which is extremely tough and wear-resistant.
This oil is also water and dirt-resistant. Please don't hesitate to reach out if your BuiltByBen piece has been damaged.
Cleaning & Maintainence
Dust and dirt can be removed with a soft, dry cloth (preferably microfiber).
Surfaces should not be cleaned with abrasive chemical cleaning liquids, polishes, sprays, sponges or scourers. They can cause permanent damage.
For cleaning your furniture and accessories, BuiltbyBen recommends using Osmo Wash & Care or Osmo Spray Cleaner. Make sure you follow the instructions very carefully, and always check any product before applying - if in doubt, a damp cloth should do!
A damp cloth should be used to clean up spills. Then a dry cloth should be used to remove extra moisture. Coffee, red wine, and vinegar should always be immediately wiped off. In case the stain is left, the surface may need to be refinished. Should this be the case, we recommend reaching out directly to us.
Items with rough undersides should be placed with caution, as they may scratch the surface.
As the damage from alcohol and harsh chemicals are difficult to reverse, we advise avoiding contact with any liquids containing them near your artwork.
